All about Property Jobs

Over the past few years, the property industry has taken a fair few potentially damaging hits, with the recession driving down house prices. But, unlike some sectors that are also struggling, property is an area that has one of the highest chances to pull itself back up again.

Working in property does not necessarily mean simply selling houses and describing homes as “cosy” or saying that the property is “interesting” . Indeed, “property” might not even mean selling properties directly at all. For example, a Property Manager may be in charge of a portfolio of rented residential and/or commercial properties, collecting rents, dealing with repair work and safety checks and being the middle-man between tenant and Landlord. You might even be the Landlord. Or, property, in your life, might feature working with developers and builders to buy land, build new properties or renovate existing ones.

Qualifications really depend on what kind of job you are looking for in property. However, many Estate Agents start out as Trainees, aged between 16 and 18, gaining qualifications “on the job”.
