All about Industrial Jobs

During recessions, some industries are affected more than others, whilst others tend to thrive. Nevertheless during hard times, the industrial sector (just like the manufacturing area) becomes increasingly necessary as they provide the highest levels of export, whilst supporting most other areas of employment. Without industrial jobs such as engineering, electricians, production works and technicians, most other sectors wouldn’t be able to fully function. There are so many jobs to choose from in the Industrial area, but you don’t necessarily need a University Degree to qualify for them. This is mainly because a large amount of roles are very hands-on, with first-hand knowledge using equipment etc being more useful than formal qualifications.

Most areas offer internships and/or apprenticeships which allow young people to train on the job, allowing you to learn whilst still earning money. Many candidates come from all stages of education from school leavers with few solid qualifications, to those with A Levels and even individuals who have gained their Masters Degrees.

Generally, qualifications and experience will determine how much a worker may earn, however, for higher roles such as Line Managers, Supervisors etc you will be expected to have gained a substantial amount of experience within the generalised areas that you are looking to manage.
